I am an interdisciplinary artist specializing in illustration, concept art, vocal performance, and editing.
My most recent large work was designing and illustrating the animated opening credit sequence for a film.
I've also been known to do album art, logos, calligraphy, fiber art, make jewelry, perform in improv shows, do musicals, operas, and choral performances, photography, and modeling work. I unfortunately drop a skill when circumstances require it or when the gigs run out and my day job presses on.
One day, my day job will be art, and then my life will be one long wonderful blur of erasing pencil lines and getting ink on my hands.
I am slowly and constantly trying my hands at new things, and I am self-taught. My only formal art class was lithography, and I loved every second of it. My grandmama is a calligrapher and quilter, so I get my lettering and sewing skills from her.
Ultimately, I want to do illustration and concept work. Ideally in animation. I'd love to do scientific illustration, illustrate children's books, make comics, game design/development-- anything heavy on the concept and illustration side. Especially if I'd have to switch between voice work, writing, editing, songwriting, etc. I want to wear as many hats as possible and make a good living doing so.
Things I am passionate about: books (I draw a lot of fanart from literature), 'classical' music, fairy tales, linguistics, etymology, entomology, language, science, nursery rhymes, proverbs, folklore, old films, 20s jazz and swing, dancing, biology, poetry, food, and naps.
I also love horror, but my nsfw/horror things are going in a different place. PM me if you want to know where that is.
CURRENTLY:
In real life: Working on learning more digital art, making paintings, doing experiments with watercolor and new lettering techniques
On DA: Working on cleaning up (deleting) most of the sketches and older drawings. I'm eventually just going to put finished things, and works available as prints.
